Research Notes

Trying to fit a square peg into a round hole: When I adopted this profile, I didn't know what a mess I adopted. All the records I find point to the likelihood that this was Johannes Van Hoesen. I'm trying to figure out who is Volkert, who is Johann(es), and who is Harmen. For now, this profile sits here and is certainly not correct. -- Note added by Richard Hollenbeck at 01:29, 28 January 2018.

According to the attached Genealogies of the First Settlers of Albany, Harman died 1754 and was buried in 1754.

That looks like the burial of a son (or possible son) named Jan.
